Rising Earth News

Rising Earth News is a student-led platform dedicated to telling the stories of the incredible individuals, communities, and businesses around the world that are pioneering a sustainable future and catalyzing social change. We position ourselves as an entirely positive news channel; by showing our viewers that the solutions to the climate crisis are not only possible, but already exist, we aim to inspire our viewers to take action themselves and provide guidance for this. Currently, they have the following projects open:

The Environmental Voter Project

The Environmental Voter Project (EVP) aims to significantly increase voter demand for environmental leadership by identifying inactive environmentalists and then turning them into consistent activists and voters. EVP is a US-based non-partisan nonprofit organization. We do not endorse candidates or tell people how to vote. We have a much bigger goal - instead of trying to influence particular elections, we aim to fundamentally change the electorate so that policymakers must respond to the increased voter demand for environmental leadership. Our steady, movement-building approach is using proven techniques to bring environmental voter turnout to a tipping point of overwhelming demand for progressive environmental policies. Word Forest Organisation

The Word Forest Organisation is a UK-based charity that plants trees, builds classrooms, facilitates education, and supports women’s empowerment in Kenya. It also plants trees in the UK and raises environmental awareness. Currently, they have the following projects open:
