I worked at the Department of Mineral Resources and Amatola Water as Small Scale Mining Officer and Water Technician respectively. In both working experiences, I fortunately worked and partnered with the community, involved in many social engagements. I noticed lacking information awareness cost many societies. Organizing community workshops and public presentations to their meeting halls is still lacking in many societies. Cases like water management, environmental proper utilization is still needing people to assist the community.
I have knowledge and understanding of government legislation and policies. These skills have enforced society's engagement with the resources. I worked with small scale mining projects and noticed that many areas with valuable commodities are still not utilizing their resources due to lack of information to the community.
